Japanese Course

Even non-native Japanese speakers who take the Japanese course benefit from the greatest possible preparation for entering Japanese colleges and Universities.

Our school is the first high school in Fukui to provide such opportunities to students. We have some students from Brazil, for instance, who are nearly proficient in Japanese because our school offers them excellent help and direction in their journey towards learning Japanese. We introduce the Japanese course to our students from first grade, and they continue studying it until their third grade where they get to decide if they want to proceed with it or not, but as one can imagine, at that stage, they would have  a lot of knowledge regarding the course or subject already. We must also give credit to our students, who put in a lot of effort to learn Japanese and make it easier for our teachers.

Studying English with ALTs and foreign students

In addition to learning grammar and fluency in the English course, students also study how to write an effective essay on any current global issue and improve their presentational abilities. Students may easily research about their essay topics in class,  because they have tablets at their disposal. These tablets also teach them how to use technology effectively, by the time they get to university or their desired career paths, they will have basic writing and research knowledge.

We have combined lessons, where students from different classes get to work together. They also have the opportunity to design and make some projects for the community. These communal projects teach students about diversity and greatly influence their personal development.
